Tara Williams Healing Journey
Dear friends,
Last September after a routine exam Tara Williams, my partnert of 30 years, was diagnosed with non-small cell carcinoma on her left lung. The tumor is 9 cm by 6.5 cm, next to her heart and butting up against her aorta. Due to the difficulty of the situation, she was sent to UC Davis for evaluation. At UC Davis there was the hope of joining a clinical trial to reduce the mass prior to surgery, however, after a few days the clinical trial was closed and the only solution doctors are offering now is surgery to see if they can remove the whole left lung which is very risky and unpredictable. Not to mention that there are no guarantees on the quality of life after surgery when she might have to be on a respirator for the rest of her life.
Due to the complications of the situation we are looking at complementary therapies in order to reduce the mass. Unfortunately not all these therapies are covered by insurance or our financial capabilities. To be able to proceed with these treatments we need your help.
You could support the fundraiser by attending the "Health and Wellness Event - Dinner/Auction" on February 1, 2020, at the Unity of Oroville Church. There will be a Silent Auction, Health Booths, a Sound Bath with bowls, and Dinner.
